About The Artist

Hi there,

My name is Patrick D. Looney. My interest in chain maille started nearly 20 years ago when I was first introduced to the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) and other historical reenactment events. I’m particularly fond of anything pirate themed. But my favorite part of any event has always been the merchant vendors. Blacksmiths, leather workers, garment shops, all displaying their skillfully crafted works.

I started off with making my own armor for a school project in my metal shop class. I originally learned how to make my own chainmail links from wire by reading an armor smithing book. Shortly after that I started making the chainmail into jewelry. Over the years I’ve made countless pieces of jewelry as a hobby or as gifts for friends and family. Eventually I encountered members of a local Art Collective. I owe my thanks to them for encouraging me to pursue my craft in full and to open myself up to selling my work to the public.

Cancelations and Returns

Cancelations: All orders can be canceled prior to shipping for a full refund.

Return Policy: For questions about or to return an item, please contact me via text or email. Contact

  • As all orders are custom made, returned items are only eligible for a 50% refund since I will need to replace the materials used in the making of the piece.

  • If a piece arrives damaged or flawed, then it can be returned for repair, replacement, or a full refund.

  • All returns must be initiated within 90 days of completion and shipping of the order.
